We visited this restaurant as my husband and his friend are of nigerian heritage. The food was very nice! However service was very slow due there only being one waitress
My wife and I had an great dinner at African Feeling. We were having trouble working out what to order and finally decided to go with Banquet 2, so that we'd be able to sample a wide range of dishes. We were assured by our friendly waiter that the portion sizes were smaller than the standard meals (which must have been huge as we still had a lot of leftovers). She was good enough to pack our leftovers in takeaway containers and we noticed she did this for other diners too.I'd recommend this banquet for the variety. Don't worry that there may be too much food for you as the leftovers will make up another meal at home (a couple of our dishes tasted even better the next day).Banquet 2 consists of set mains (Okra, Eggplant, African Curry, Egusi Stew and Lamb Tangine), but they are standout selections from the menu and offer a good variety of meat and vegetable dishes. You get to select 3 entrees and 2 sides. We went for the African Cigar, Vegetarian Triangles and Mince Samosas for entree and sides of Jollof Rice and Chapatis. It was all good, but after eating the entrees and the Chapatis, we knew there was no way we were going to get through the mains! All in all, this is a great restaurant. Don't worry about ordering too much, go for the variety of the Banquet, it's good value considering what you get and that it covers an extra meal!
We tried African Feeling with a Groupon voucher and we've eaten there and ordered home delivery several times since. We were hooked when we were asked if we wanted our meal "Mild, Medium, Hot or African Hot?" Always friendly service, REALLY tasty, and a nice change from the usual Thai/Indian/Pizza/Pub options.
A group of 20 friends dined here on November 12th 2015. We had selected the three course banquet which on the look of it seemed a good choice. We each got three portion of entrees each. Still not sure why one of the entrees appeared to be a donut ball. The entrees had an Indian influence actually if you look at all the meals we had you could see the Indian influence. The service was fine given that there was only one waitress. There was a decent break between the entree and mains. We were split in to two groups as they did not have a table long enough for 20 people. One table had 8 people and 12 on the other. For the mains there were 5 options with two side dishes. The mains are brought out to share amongst the table. The issue was with the portion size. 1 medium sized bowl between 8 or 12 people was not enough. On my table I missed out completely on two of the main.Given the cost per head I would definitely say that it was not value for money. Not recommended for a large group.
