Cafe Del Arte - Nice

We stopped by in the evening for a drink. Drinks are pretty bad, and cost all 10€ . After 5 min. we have been asked to pay but not in a nice way „can you pay?“. Maybe the waitress had a bad day or it was b/c we might have not been dressed up posh like other guests.

The staff was very friendly and kind. I'm sorry to say the food was not at all to be recommended. The gnocchi tasted nothing, and the risotto was undercooked with dry chicken bits (with bones in it).

We visited this family run restaurant this evening and were so impressed I'm writing this from the hotel room. We chose the Cafe del Arte as we wanted a menu fixe that offered escargots as a starter and we were so glad we did. We picked their top of the range menu priced at 28 Euros which was amazing value for money. The escargots were fantastic, served the typical French way in garlic butter. For the main we both had the fillet of beef (which was huge) with a truffle cream sauce which was cooked to perfection, this came served with an incredible pomme purée and a selection of vegetables. Best meal I've had in a while and certainly the best food in Nice. For dessert the waiter offered us a cheese plate and a dessert sharing platter which was lovely! All with a large glass of wine priced at 4.50 and when compared to the price of drinks elsewhere was a bargain. Service was attentive, free wifi, water and bread all included! We will be back!

Let's take simple salads that at the end were pretty copyy and especially very good! Quality of a priori products, a very appropriate presentation for a reasonable price within the framework. So satisfied and therefore recommended.
