What a wonderful experience of flavor, texture and juiciness from Blue Dog BBQ for breakfast! Mike knows what when and how to produce awesomeness from the wood fired pit he has positioned at the Farmers Market! Delicious is the first word I thought of but wow was what I said. Thank you for such a great introduction to Manassas Olde Town Farmers Market and to the good people who live here. Looking forward to making new friendships and eating more delicious BBQ from Blue Dog BBQ and Mike and his master Pit crew.

I got the chance to sample Blue Dog BBQ at the Mananas farmers market. I got a dog bowl which was beans, pulled pork, brisket, and slaw all in one bowl. The beans and slaw were decent but typical. the pork was really good. Hand pulled, with nice big tender chunks. The brisket was chopped smaller, I had to really look for it. With so few morsels its hard to properly judge. They did not include any sauce so I cannot speak on it, however the pork tasted great without it.

This past weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to try the pulled pork and beef brisket at the Manassas Farmers Market, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The pork was delicious and incredibly tender, while the beef was equally fantastic. Even though they provided sauces with my order, I found they weren't necessary because the meat was so well-seasoned and flavorful on its own. I did sample both sauces later while eating, and I can say that both the sweet and vinegar varieties were equally tasty. I purchased a generous portion of each meat, packed them in zip-lock bags, and I'm still enjoying them days later. Trust me, don't just buy to eat on the spot; get extra! Otherwise, you’ll find yourself dreaming about it until the next Farmers Market rolls around! Highly recommended!
