Huset Steak House - Norddjurs

Aside from the fact, that a seagull hovered over our heads and the waitress insisting that it didn’t usually attack the customers!! Our daugthers food arrived 15 mintues before ours. We had asked for our steaks to be red my boyfriends’ was raw. Like really raw. He sent it back. Their solution was to fry it again making it almost inedable. And they mixed up our order. So we had to swap the potatoes at the table. The restaurant was only half full but the table next to us was told to expect waiting for dessert. The picture is the seagull on the roof above us.

Good average place. Bit Smokey from the kitchen, but solid portions, old fashioned good quality home made style.

Been there twice in three days, the second time very close to the end of their service, but the Owner saw us so desperate after a heavy working day that we were allowed to get our meal. Main courses of different and good meat and vegetables, with a very good beer. Definitely one of preferred in Grenaa.

I recently visited Huset Steak House after some 30 years absence. Everything was just as I remembered it, which is not a good thing. Even the food was just like they did it back in the 1980'ies. The steak was OK, but the potatoes, sauce, salad etc. was just not up to date, and very boring by today's standards. Same thing with the desserts. It was actually quite similar to an old Jensen's Bøfhus just worse. Only thing that had changed with time was the prices. Way overpriced for what you get.

The food was good the house burger was great and tasted genuine barbecued burger. It took some time to get the food to the table which is a good sign of food prepared after our order.
