We went from northerney city to this great restaurant in the middle of the dunes and near the beach. it took us minutes in the heat, so we enjoyed the cool temperatures in the inner and the excellent drinks. the food came in large portions and... the best "Matjes" we had during our stay in East Frisia. service staff was very friendly and helpful. not to wait too much despite a fully booked restaurants. at the end they even ordered a taxi for us for a safe return. is this a helpful review? then please give me a thumbs up thank you frankgeisler by clicking on the button below.
Best spot is for sure right next to the closed fireplace. Enjoy the Glühwein after a great walk from the city to the weiße Düne (approx
Great food, great walk, great wein. but be aware, they must not sit privately on a table if they want to eat. that is not like a US restaurant with a seating area. it is first coming to serve first and they can meet some...big people.
Incredible restaurant on this small island in the North Sea. if they don't have at least one michelin star, they deserve one, maybe two, fabulous eating elegantly presented. I started with a golden pee soup. then I had served lammsteak with wild mushroom risotto and ratatouille. for dessert I chose a plate of several different chocolate dessert samples: chocolate mousse, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, etc. It was an art work, almost too nice to eat. other of my party had similar experiences with fish dishes and vegetarian options, selected from a menu that includes both standard and cooking specialties of the day. almost everything they use is locally cultivated (within service was impeccable and very friendly. the ambiente was irritating. expect to spend over pp for suppe or salat, with wires, dessert and two glasses wein entice. when they are in northern Germany, it is worth eating here.
