Kappo Nara Ramen - Norfolk

Less than 40 hours ago, my husband and I decided to order food from Kappo Nara Ramen in the Ghent quarter of Norfolk, Virginia. My husband chose the katsu curry dish with pork and rice, while I opted for the curo black tonkotsu ramen with basic pork. We enjoyed our meals and were pleased with the pick-up/carry-out option for receiving our dishes.

This is a lovely little restaurant. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to accommodate allergy information for one member of our group. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the diverse ethnic dishes we tried.

On a rainy day during our vacation, my partner and I made the decision to try out this restaurant, and we were very impressed! Our server/hostess was very hardworking and despite being busy, the service was exceptional and quick and friendly. We tried the takoyaki, oshinko, and the yellowtail jaw, which was our favorite dish. We also had the house ramen and tonkotsu ramen, both of which were delicious. Kudos to Kappo for a great dining experience!

Everything was good here. I had ramen and it was good. the family had different other entrees and everyone really enjoyed their food. if I am in the opposite and mood for ramen or this style of food, I will probably return.

Kappa Nara Ramen was a very authentic Japanese cuisine experience. We tried the edamame, gyoza, salmon onigiri, tonkatsu Ramen and ended the meal with mango mochi.
