I was eating last night. not for about two years, as at that time was not good, but gave him another chance. ordered children fish and chips, steak special (sirloin and scaled kartoffels), my sister ordered fish special and also sweet potatoes on the side for all of us. the menu is quite simple, also for a pub. first, location is great and many parking spaces on the street in the night, and the decor of the restaurant itself is very nice, they would think that they are a lot of busier. but there were only 2 other tables around 18 o'clock. we had therefore expected a great service and fast eating on the table. sadly, beverage orders were forgotten and they took 15 minutes to...read more
This device has so much potential, but unfortunately it has left off the food every time we died here. as a scandal as it is a nice restaurant and the pub is really cozy at a rainy day. service was not so kind of the lady behind the bar, she seemed distracted and not really interested in customer service, maybe she had just a bad day? we ordered the burger and the seafood stew, burger quite good, seafood stew was not up to the standard, it should have been. the seafoods were not good, and the garnels had already been precooked and then placed on the dish, which consisted of lack of taste depth and really needed dishes, heads, pieces...more
Great authentic atmosphere in the hotel. eating is of great portions and true of the menu description. they use great, fresh products for meals. the personal was so friendly that we felt very at home. would make a great local if I lived closer to the opposite.
The vegan Interstate guests cleaned because of the flexible menu. they were happy but unfortunately not me. lukewarm and dry fish especially, very unpleasant. return (and removed from the bill) and the offer of a free coffee sank. a coffee? not the first bad experience here, and although polite about it, they do not seem to learn. sighs
The Dan has changed its menu and now offers a well ranging menu of more normal fare for those that were perhaps a bit worried about the previous 'nose to tail ' philosophy, rest assured you will have plenty to choose from now. Atmosphere and service is great. There are many different seating options which we like, we chose the booth area near the fire in the middle of the pub between the front bar and the back restaurant area. We both had the T-bone steak and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was the right size when hungry. Good wine options served with a smile. It was Wednesday night which is open mike night, very enjoyable watching the locals take turns to play guitar and sing with each other....read more
