After 35 years of enjoying the best paczki I have ever had, I was shocked by my recent experience. To start, I was taken aback by the price increase to $2.25 each this year. While the paczki are indeed larger, they barely contain any filling—just a few teaspoons at most. It’s disappointing, as the proportion of dough to filling is far from ideal. This was the first time I felt let down after so many years of enjoyment.

When I bit into my first Paczki, I was surprised to find only about a tablespoon of filling inside. Yes, they are bigger now, but who wants all that dough? I decided to give it another chance the next morning, trying a different flavor, but unfortunately, I had the same disappointing experience. It’s such a shame, as I may need to seek out another place to enjoy these treats next year.
