Harry's Coconut Shack

I discovered a fantastic little gem of a restaurant. I was greeted by a charming Caribbean man, who I believe is Harry. I had only spoken to him on the phone to place my order, but he recognized me by my voice. He was extremely welcoming and went out of his way to accommodate my order, even making some plain rice at the last minute when he realized he was out. The curry goat, rice and peas, and coleslaw were delicious, and the fried dumplings were exceptional.

I recently tried the brown stew and curry goat at this restaurant and both dishes were delicious with lovely flavors. It's difficult to find West Indian takeout places in this area, but being knowledgeable in West Indian cuisine myself, I can say that Harry's did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning, as the service was also friendly and great.

Last night, we had an incredible takeout experience. We sampled several dishes including curried goat, ackee salt fish, jerk chicken, and dumplings. The food was authentic and delicious! We highly recommend this place.

Harry is such a nice man. He makes you feel so welcomed which (to me) is very important when visiting somewhere. The food is absolutely delicious, he makes the best rice and peas around. Make sure that you call up before ordering as he is high in demand! Well worth it and the prices are so affordable. The meat is tender and juicy. You can tell that he makes his food with love and passion. I would definitely 100% recommend going here if you want to try some authentic Jamaican food.

Decided to try Harry’s as was in the area and fancied some Jamaican, and was not disappointed. Very nice food in a really authentic Jamaican kitchen. No complaints really, only reason I didn’t give 5* is because I’ve had better food, but that’s not to say Harry’s wasn’t really nice still! Will defo return, thanks.
