Feedback gevenI've come here a few times with my partner or with friends and the service is usually pretty great and the meals quite nice. The sweet potato fries are my favourite. A close friend came today after having lunch with me there on Saturday and ended up leaving before ordering due to the waitress being rude and preferring to speak to her coworker than take an order. I've heard positives and negatives, give it a try to make up your own mind. Also, there is no liquor license yet despite the menu detailing cocktails. It's BYO but I've found they don't tell you until after you've arrived (that's not helpful!).
The only thing stopping Grilling Art from being the perfect experience for me is the staff's attention to detail. I've been twice recently and both times had my meal arrive with errors. I've had sweet potato fries arrive instead of regular fries and I've had a burger arrive with chicken instead of beef. The saving grace is that the incorrect orders still tasted great. The food is really, really good. Beef burgers taste amazing and the chicken burgers do too. I truly hope the attention to detail is improved. Grilling Art is a great offering for Riverlink.
Arrived with friends to find that they didn't have their liquor license yet. That would have been ok if we were told at the time of booking so we could have byo. Service was substandard and we were not offered a dessert menu. Meals were very small and over priced for the Ipswich area in that you buy the meat only and then $9 for each side like 9 for potato, 9 for carrots and 9 for corn etc. One positive was the garlic cheese bread was great. We were the only people at the restaurant and they seemed in a hurry for us to go asking to settle the account before finishing the meal. The reason given was they had to settle the till for head office by a certain time. (7pm in this case). Never again!
Customer service was fantastic, coffee was delicious, food is really something. Highly recommended if you'd like something a little different for breakfast. Great sized meals if you're hungry and really reasonably priced.
Okay there are other decent eats at Riverlink, but there are some shockers too. This one is new and a pleasant surprise. For a "better than Maccas" lunch it works basically on a grilled burger theme, but the choices and options are very good. All burgers are claimed to be home made. I wouldn't argue with that - they were tasty and filling.(The full grilled meal would be something we will try for a dinner. Once again it seems there are plenty of choices.)Staff were friendly, polite and efficient, checking if our order was right and how the meal was going. I would say that you shouldn't be disappointed with Grilled Art. They are new and I hope the standard continues.
