Feedback gevenThe pizza dough made by this person is the best I've ever had - thin and delicious. However, the cheese used is not of good quality, it's too soft and wet. If they switched to better cheese, they would have the best pizzas in Whitley Bay without a doubt.
During our weekend in Whitley Bay, we decided to get a takeout. I ordered 2 pizzas with chips and received excellent service. They even informed me of a special offer that I wasn't aware of. The food was delicious, and the chips were authentic and not French fries, which I appreciated. I will definitely return to this place when we are in the area again. I was very impressed.
This place has a great website you can order your pizza from, it is slightly more pricey than the average Whitley pizza shop but still cheaper than pappa johns and domino's etc. Quality is better than average for Whitley also and on collection looks clean tidy and well organised.
We switched to Piccante last year on recommendation from a friend. We used to order from the well known chain next door but the last few orders from there werent good and we learned the manager here used to be the manager there! The pizzas taste as good as the ones we used to like next door and are far cheaper. Weve never had cause to complain about the service and the pizzas have always arrived when they say they will. I order direct with their website instead of going via Just Eat as its cheaper!
We ordered food tonight through JustEat at 8pm, at 9.30 we rung them to inquire when it would be arriving. The response was it would be there soon. At 10pm we rang back to ask again. Was told then that it was an order to pick, it wasn't. Then they said it was delivered to the house next door. It wasn't. Then they said they hadn't received the order from JustEat. Then they found the order but it hadn't be processed at all. We were famished. They were very rude, unhelpful and blamed JustEat completely. We requested a discount as a goodwill gesture. We were told it wasn't their problem, we should take it up with them. We had they were able to tell us the order has been received, however they hasn't set up the printer appropriately. JustEat offered to ring them on our behalf and they stated we should be given a discount of £5. The driver, when she turned up was quite rude and hadn't any intention of discussing the discount. Really put a dampener on our evening. Poor service, bad customer service, terrible attitude. Use with caution.
