A nice dinner before our show at the Wall Street theater . We had samplings of about eight different tapas options along with a charcuterie and cheeseboard. The grilled calamari , eggplant tower ,and baby octopus were especially good. Paired with some nice Tempranillo it was a great dining experience.
I found this place by chance as my husband and I were looking for a place to grab some dinner and it was outstanding. The service, the food, the drinks were all fantastic. Wish it was closer to my home as I would go there often.
We are visiting the area for the weekend and decided to come out for dinner last night. This place is great! We loved the atmosphere, friendly service, delicious red sangria (get the pitcher! and all the tapas were so yummy. Our absolute favorite was the fried artichokes with jalapeños, thinly sliced red onions, cilantro, ricotta salata cheese, and vinaigrette. It was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious! The Serrano ham and manchego was mouthwatering.
Maybe it was because we had dinner on the earlier side but everything was underwhelming. We love tapas, my husband’s family has been in Spain for fifty years now and we love to find new tapas places. This … was not it. The chorizo and beans came in some kind of heavy gravy that was very salty, we thought it may have come from a can? Everything was extremely salty, as though the sauces had been cooking for too long. The short rib was dry, the mussels were in such an unfortunate marinara sauce it really could have been fine over linguini. The steak was chewy, it was just really not what we were looking for. I would not return.
