The whole experience was amazing. We opted for Teppan Yaki so the chef cooks everything in front of you. The lobster, beef, filet steak, salmon chicken were all so tasty, even the egg fried rice. Would highly recommend we’re planning on taking our family there for our next visit.
My family treated me to this meal and we had been there before so we knew what to expect. However, when we received the 'O Bento ' box at an expensive price, we found it to be a bit of Miso soup, a few pieces of Sirloin steak and very dry rice. We managed to get a slight discount but to be fair we would not recommend this restaurant due to high prices and the low quality of food provided!
Went for my friends birthday, got split up just because we didn’t order anything tepanyaki. My friend when phoning to book made sure they understood we wanted to be sat together and they confirmed we would. How do you expect us to come for her birthday and split half of us up? Staff was rude aswell, not a single smile. Food was bland and not worth the price .
The service revolves around teppanyaki, which is light years away from authentic Japanese teppanyaki. It 's practically a Chinese restaurant that has turned towards Japanese cuisine since there 's no shortage of sauces and greasy food. The teppanyaki itself takes place around a table with other diners you don 't know, so don 't go if you want privacy. The chef seems to have more fun with small juggling and fire tricks rather than focusing on cooking good teppanyaki; it doesn 't matter if the meat ends up burned. The teppanyaki selections are limited and bland, with fried rice used as filler. There 's no attention to cooking techniques, the deliberate movements, or the orderliness in the true spirit of Japanese cuisine. It 's just a show-off that aims to entertain customers who don 't even know where Japan is. The à la carte dishes are 20% more expensive than average, and for a place like this, the prices hover around £50 per person. The sushi is awful. It feels like you 're eating inside a parking lot or a basement; there are no windows, no natural light. All of this is worsened by the fumes that aren 't properly extracted, filling the place with a fishy smell that will cling to your clothes even after 4 machine washes. After spending some time in the restaurant, you just want to leave because you can 't breathe.
Ginza has become our occasion go to. The food is always fantastic, especially the teppanyaki set meals, the staff are lovely, and watching the chefs cook at the table is entertaining. I've been several times and am always impressed. It's even better since they refurbished the loos!
