They give you a free appetizer (nachos with cheese), which are good tasting. The tortillas are handmade and the staff is very friendly.
Excellent restaurant. This is our restaurant in Progresso. A good menu, good food and outside service, especially from Solomon. We like the ponchos and foam cheese.
Wintering in the RGV of Texas, our group of friends frequently go across the border to Nuevo Progreso, MX to shop and have a meal. The food at Elsa's is good, the music makes the back room lounge/bar theeee best, and the fun that can be had there is outstanding!
This small place is not only a restaurant, but also a bakery. Impressed how clean and clean the place was. The waiters were dressed properly and are very attentive. We both ordered the Tampiqueno. Each plate had Bistec, Queensadilla, 2 cheeses enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, French pommes. Instead of the usual "tototopos" they served cheese afteros with one side of pico de gallo, salsa piquant, rajas de jalapeño. He drank Pacífico. Everything was good. Lunch cost was $28.
