Safeway Liquor - Oak Harbor

I live in California and my father lives in a pension community in Oak Harbor. I wanted to surprise him with a cake for his birthday, and I needed him to feed everyone where he lives. I turned to Safeway. The bakery staff was very pleasant and accommodating, and the plus was that they had previously worked with retirement. Since I wasn't there physically to look through the designs, Sandy was nice enough to go through them with me until I found one I liked. Jackie did a wonderful job to decorate the cake and make it look extra festive. They also proposed two flavors. Half of the cake was chocolate with raspberry filling, and the other half was white with lemon filling. It was time when the staff picked it up. Needless to say the cake was a hit, and my father was Mr. Popular with his neighbors for his birthday!

It's not safe. At least 6 people without masks in the shop, including 2 employees at the Deli with their mask under the nose. Conversationally, I mentioned at the checkout that I was surprised. The checker couldn't get rid of me fast enough. No reply to my comment. Not even a proposal to talk to the manager. I'll go where it's safe. I'm sure you don't miss my business, but I feel better going elsewhere. I've done everything possible to keep me and family healthy- I won't carelessly ruin food business mgmt all this.
