I didnt feel rushed.<br/ <br/ The weekday breakfast special is an almost unheard of value in this downtown area.<br/ <br/ You must try their chicken and waffles as it is an experience all by itself. The spicy syrup had me skeptical but one bite made me a believer. This is a must try destination i have revisited with friends.
Honestly love the live music and classy atmosphere! And it's Bring your own !! Have ordered the chicken and waffles twice! Good overall but not special. I wish the waffles were thicker style. The Mac and cheese was also rich but not special. Friends the fried fish options. Prices affordable
Is there a 'love ' button? I ordered The Saint, and it was one of the best meals I 've ever had. Hands down it 's the best fried chicken I 've ever tasted! And a great value at about $10 per plate with huge amounts of food. I 'll be back for sure!
The service was great, exquisite, and the jazz band was a winning touch. A nice place to rent out for a party or just bring someone special. You won't feel over dressed or under dressed- just right at home.
I am a California native and was craving some chicken and waffles from Roscos or Lolos. Most places in the Chicago area are serving Belgian style waffles and chicken ????. And i came across this location serving the traditional flat waffle. I gotexcited at the possibility of having a good replacement for Roscoes. Unfortunately they did miss the mark. I want to say thevibe was immaculate and the decor was very warm and classy. The service was a little slow. We were there for about 7 minutesbefore we met our waitress. The food came out fast. Almost too fast as if they might not have been freshly fried? It wasn?tpipping hot but it wasn?t cold or anything like that. It was totally fine but I am a bit skeptical that it was cooked thatquickly. So we got the half chicken for $32 which I felt was quite expensive but ok. Also got the red beans and rice and wafflesand scrambled eggs. Now the flavor of the chicken was good but one dimensional. The Cajun red beans and rice was missing somekey Cajun spice! I?m not convinced it contained the holy trinity or smoked ham hocks or turkey. The waffles were good, they hadan interesting ?chewiness? that reminded me of like a gluttonous rice flour. I?m not sure if that was international or if theywere over beaten but I enjoyed them! All and all I wanted a good replacement for my chicken and waffles on the west coast, although they missed the mark for me, there?s a good chance you will enjoy this place!
