Plank Restobar - Oakville

Just a warning before you go here, they will not serve you alcohol if you're under 21. My friend and I (both 19) tried to order drinks and were told their policy is 21+. While this is legal, it's weird and I would absolutely avoid this place if you're 19/20. What's even weirder is that my friend had been there before with some friends and was served alcohol. The food was pretty good, but the waitress had a passive-aggressive attitude. Won't go back

Great location, violently mid food and violently mid service.3 of us seated on the patio with a reservation on a Sunday. Ordered 3 beers, a pizza as an app and 3 brie-sy chicken sandwiches, two with salads and one with fries.Took an hour for the pizza/app to come out, which was quite good but not worth the wait. Another 20 minutes for the mains to come out. Chicken was extremely dry, under seasoned, tasteless. Served on a plank so the toppings spilled everywhere. Salads were mostly wilted with no salad dressing, one of our party complained and had it swapped with fries. Server didn’t apologize, was hard to flag down, and when we were served the bill she apologized for “running around because she had to fish someone’s invisiline from the garbage” which I don’t fault her for per se, I don’t think it’s fair for servers to take all the heat.I just think overall the restaurant is not run properly and they have this great location and I hear they used to be good. Super expensive for a painfully mediocre experience. Won’t return.

My husband and I go sometimes for lunch at Plank's. The food is delicious (I would recommend 3 or 4 appetizers to share) and the service is very good. At lunch time, if you eat inside, the level of noise can be a little high. But, overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Our first experience at Plank and it won’t be our last! The food was unreal, the menu options were all amazing, watching the food pass our table had us wanting to order everything. The drinks were cold and delicious, the service was friendly and quick. Thank you for an unreal first time and we can’t wait to visit again soon.

After years of avoiding Plank due to reasons of my own, hubby and I decided to give it another try. We booked online, again, and this time they had our reservation but were running late having a table ready for us. No problem, it's a gorgeous summer night, we went for a stroll around the waterfront waiting for the phone call our table was ready.We wandered back 15 mins later and were told our table still wasn't ready, there were still people in it.We finally got seated and ordered some drinks. After looking over the menu we couldn't decide on apps or entrees so we started off with the dim sum dumplings and the salmon apps. Wow. Fantastic. Nothing fancy to look st but the flavour >exceptional! We were still curious with other apps so we ordered the eggplant and the Korean Fried chicken. Again. Amazing!! So much flavour! We were quite full so didn't get to try an entree. I really want to come back to try the steak frites and the chicken club.
