But our server was very rude and kept trying to rush us. When we finally ordered our food came cold and i sent all plates back to the kitchen. The second time they came out some of our plates were missing the sides. We waited forever for the bill then the server stood right above me while i paid for the meal. Very unprofessional. Not recommended
Our family was traveling and decided to stop at East Side Mario's for a late lunch/early dinner. It was very good! Table bread is referred to as a "Garlic Loaf", although it was garlic-y at all, which is a good thing, because my daughter is allergic.... maybe being told this, they didn't use the usual garlic? No idea, but it was good nonetheless. The salad was fabulous. I really enjoyed the fresh ingredients and the dressing. I got spaghetti and meatballs as my meal... good. The rest of my party ordered the four-cheese stuffed pizza (with no sauce), which they said was EXCELLENT! They also split an order of fettuccine alfredo, which WAS garlic-y but good. Meals were kind of slow, which was surprising because they were not busy at all. However, we were in no hurry, so it didn't bother us. Total cost: $57.Would gladly recommend.
Unfortunately this East Side Marios is publically known to have terrible service. Everyone Locally knows that if you go out to eat there, you'll get service that is negligent, rude, and unmotivated. You won't get refills on drinks, salad, or bread, and resently the food has come to the table cold or stale. The east side marios menu is great- I personally love their food, the fact is has tons of options for everyone- vegetarian, gluten free etc and is overall a cheap night out. But trust me- avoid this place 100%! Spend the extra bit of date night funds and get people who actually care about their job. Servers should atleast do their job- even if they don't go above and beyond to make your night special- they should atleast be present. This place leaves you waiting and if you plan on seeing a movie- you better give them extra time if you expect to see your show.
I am generally a huge fan of East Side Mario's, but I would not recommend you spend your money at this restaurant. Waited almost an hour for our food to be served, even though it was not very busy. Our waiter appeared to be doing other things and was not attentive to our table. When we wanted to ask for something he was nowhere to be seen. We recieved no bread and needed to ask a different waiter to get us some, which finally came after we had finished our already overdue meals. On top of this, the food was slightly burned and cold when it arrived at our table. At no point did our waiter ask us how our food was or clear any dishes from our table. While East Side's prices have been going up, the quality has been going down. Get your act together.
Although this chain has a loyal following, this particular franchise should be trying harder since it is now competing with the newly opened Scaddabush. All you can eat soup or salad has been a staple since they opened. However, the salad here was skimpy and the waitress failed to heed a request for more. Bread as well, was "still in the oven" so that 'promise' was broken. The 'Italian' food has been Americanized and the menu far too large. The one shining good part of the experience was the wait staff, young and smiling although not always efficient. Our visit here was more like a fast food experience than a mid range restaurant. The loyal following that this chain has is the only thing that will keep this place going. Management should take more pride in providing a great rather than a little less than average experience.
