Only ate here once so far and it was good. Their steak hibachi is really good. Nice tender beef. I will be back to try other items. Thanks for the good service. The manager was very very nice and had a great personality. That is one of the mostimportant parts of running a restaurant. Thanks again, see you soon.
Not my first time here for the ayce, and the food has been good before, so not really sure what's happening. Lately the calamari is spongy, slippery, and fishy, and the sushi rolls don't taste fresh and are dry. On the ayce they will charge you if you don'teat everything to a certain point, so this became problematic even on my favorites--The last 2 visits I've struggled badly tofinish even the meagerist amount of food. The 3 stars are my wistful memories of when it was good, and hoping this experiencehas been a fluke. I probably won't be back though.
A friend and I came here for dinner. We havent been here in ages and were ready to wreck some sushi rolls. We left full but not very satisfied. We did the all you can eat sushi dinner (pic of the order sheet and rules) We both ordered two rolls apiece. Igot the seaweed salad and not pictured were the fried cheese dumplings and fried calamari clear and miso soups...the bestthing we were served was the seaweed salad and it was nothing special. Not to be dramatic but it really was the worst sushiI 've had. Very comparable to sushi you find on a Chinese buffet but worse. All four (completely different) rolls basicallytasted the same. They fell apart, the rice wasn 't cooked all the way and the fish on top was cut in very thin squares. The friedcheese dumpling was a fried wonton with fake crab stick and cream cheese inside. The calamari were basically huge onion ringswith a rubber band inside. The clear soup was a DARK brown that mostly tasted of soy sauce. I 'm giving them two stars becausethe service was great. Our server let us know in advance there was gonna we a wait on the sushi. (We didn 't mind, but it wasover 30 minutes) And when he brought the first plate out spotted that a sauce was missing from a roll and fetched it for us. Andthe place was clean as far as I could see. Didn 't have the best view as shown in the pics lol This is my first actual...badreview. But I wouldn 't recommend Ichiban to anyone and I will not revisit when we have so many other GOOD sushi places aroundhere.
I was delightfully surprised to find each sushi roll was freshly made to order and they also offered soups and appetizers to accompany the all you could eat sushi bar! The price was a lunch special of $13.99+ tax yet the food was so much more. The waitwas short and I enjoyed the service. Definitely a new favorite!
