Feedback gevenBig thank you goes to this DQ store in olathe, KS. We were on way to olathe bowl for league and storms hit. When sirens went off we pulled into this DQ store for safety. They allowed me and four kids to stay in a safe spot until all clear was given. The manager was great at keeping us updated and other staff was kind enough to offer us cold drinks while we waited out the storm. Was scary to be traveling when the warnings hit but an amazing comfort knowing we found the right place to stop along the way. Thank you for taking extra measures to keep everyone in the store safe. Means more than these words can show!!!
We ordered dinner and ice cream. we waited for over 30 minutes. When we got into the window, we got everything, but our flame drill flour and they told us to move forward. I had to ask for my credit card back where they stayed. we moved forward and afterward I decided to walk in. after waiting they grabbed riders who sit out and the burger came through the window. I expected the burger to be warm. we come home and fries are all soggy and cold and flamethrower lacks the speck and the whole is cold as if it were pulled out of the refrigerator. this is by far the worst food and service we have ever had and we will never come to this place again. we spent 40 dollars to throw it in the garbage. absolutely disgusting. what is also disappointing is all extremely negative feedback that does not fix any measures. the team just says we're sorry that we hope they'll come back. Now, what are you gonna fix to bring the people back?
All the kids on shift when we went to this location need serious training. A grub hub worker had been waiting for his order way before we even got there. Another customer was heading back in as we were entering, to have her order fixed and we stood there for at least 10 minutes and still not had our order taken. There were no other customers inside. There were at least 6 kids working and a manager that I believe was arguing with his girlfriend in the parking lot. If having to wait is the worst thing that happens in my day, it's not a bad day... having said that, it's frustrating watching at least 6 teenagers wandering all around, staring at things, looking confused and not doing anything. They made it clear through their actions of cracking jokes, talking with each other and goofing off that they don't care if they have customers or not. One kid dropped a blizzard on the ground and then proceeded to just stand and stare at it for 2-3 minutes before picking up the cup to throw away and just leaving the spilled ice cream on the ground. They made it clear that they didn't want to do their job. We ended up leaving and in the time it took us to drive to Culver's, order our food and receive it all, we would have still been waiting to even order at Dairy Queen. We were in and out of Culver's in about 10 minutes altogether. They were also extremely busy inside as well as drive-thru. Even with a full house they were extremely pleasant, efficient and so polite! It's sad because DQ is a childhood favorite and it looks like they'll be headed out like Orange Julius and just a nostalgic memory.
The kids need to be trained. I watched the girl with the long swinging braids purposely bump so hard into one of her co-workers then walk off, rolling her eyes. It was so aggressive and completely ridiculous. It took forever to be served, yet there were so many kids working inside. Some just standing around. There was no clear direction and the people in the drive-thru kept leaving to go to the back for some unknown reason. This place is a zoo.
Staff had no clue what they are doing. We ordered a dip cone and two blizzards. I was asked to repeat myself numerous times. When we got to the window we could see 6 people standing inside. I was quickly asked if I ordered ice cream, not verifying what I ordered. Only two of the six workers actually did anything other than stand around. So, it took way longer to get our order than it should. The dipped cone was barely covered and they got one of the blizzards wrong. Both blizzard cups had melted ice cream and ingredients all over them when they were given to us.For spending $15 on 3 items, I have to say I won't be going back to this location.
