Shi Lin Podium - Omaha

My go-to Chinese place whenever I 'm here at this place. Although through the years, the atmosphere of their place gradually dwindled (the place is a tad darker and more cramped compared to when they first set up shop many years ago), their food has never disappointed. My go-to orders here are their specialty Xiao Long Bao, Shrimp Shumai, and Shrimp and Pork egg fried rice. Food taste is always good. Xiao Long Bao is served quickly. Texture is good and chewy so it is always a treat. Soup flavor inside the Bao is always hot and complements well. A solid 9/10. The Shrimp Shumai is also great. Really tasty with great texture and size portion. Also a solid 9/10. The Shrimp and Egg fried rice is also a winner. Rice texture screams quality. Fried rice taste and mixture is also great, as one can tell that the chef knows how to handle the wok and the fire. Two special mentions: the other unsung heroes are the (1) Soy sauce and the (2) presentation. These are two big factors that keep me wanting to come back. First off, their Soy sauce is brewed, so you know you 're not in for just any cheap meal. The presentation of their dumplings which always comes to you steaming hot on a large wooden container just helps you appreciate their food more. Definitely a must-return-to!!!

It was our first time to eat here last Saturday, the food here is relly good especially the chicken bao and the braised beef noodles, and it's not expensive at all! The broth of the braised beef was delicious and savory, a lot better than the usual Taiwan beef noodles, and I've never seen noodle portions so huge and I've already consumed half in this picture. The chicken bao and crab fat xiao long bao were also delicious! Food: 5
