Okay, it won't be the best, but for the money, nowhere will these hands strike. You can't even get a chilled grilled aal from a supermarket for this price never mind you can contain unlimited rice here. This place is pure retro, the decor is still in the 80s, but there is a certain charm to it. Sits about 16 people and it was full when I went, but like most places that people go when they finish, so it is not long waiting. If the skin of the aal was really crispy, I would have given it the last star, but as it is, a real worthy attempt.
An underestimated Unagi shop that will satisfy your belly and keep your wallet happy. Quality eel and rice with sauce, which is not excessively sweet, makes it a top candidate when an unagi craving. The meal I had (picture) cost only 1000 yen. 4/5 because I had the feeling that some of the fins were removed during cleaning. Unagi seems to be precoated and reheated by coalfire. Note: This is not the place to get high animal unagi, but a place where you can get the most out of every dollar you spend.
Great value and meal was tasty. However, the kitchen burned something when we were there, so it smelled unpleasant.
The unagi bones poked my mouth and my throat several times cuz it’s not cooked long enough. The price is cheap and the free extra rice is a plus though.
