L'apéro Ostende

Nice restaurant, quiet and peaceful. We tried the shrimps croquettes and was not so enthusiastic than other comments, it's good but nothing exciting. The mussels were really good, the portions are quite big. A special thanks to thorbjorn, the waiter, he has been so good with us, the other personnel are really good too, this is definitely the restaurant to go when in Oostende.

We book à table on terrasse but when we arrive the only choice was to accept without any sorry à table inside. They totaly dont care. The fond was normal, nothing spécial.

Difficult to describe the horrible experience lived here. We spent 3 hours to be able to eat, i wish i was exaggeration. They forgot 5 times the orders, they take the order and if they do not have the dish or dessert they won't say anything and you will be waiting the rest of the day. Food is OK, service is awful. I would just not recommend it unless you want to waste the whole day in Oostende waiting for your food and drinks

I came to this place with a friend for lunch. The interiors are nice and the service was really friendly, but the food was, frankly, quite bad. We had two fish-based menus and the fish was just not fresh (the codfish smelled and tasted especially bad, and we could not finish it). All in all, we would recommend to steer away from this place. EDIT: I did not return the codfish to the kitchen to get a new piece, as stated in the response to this review. That must have been someone else who was unhappy with it as well.
