Britalia Resto Bar - Ottawa

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for delicious food and beverages.

My husband, father-in-law, and I had dinner at this restaurant. The food was good overall, but the service was very slow.

I'll begin with the positive aspects - the portions were generous, the menu was concise with a variety of options, and the wait staff was courteous.

Dined here for first and perhaps last time this week. Really wanted the Prime Rib. Once we had ordered and received our drinks (I had specifically ordered a wine I knew would pair well with the roast beef) we ordered and were informed that they didn't have any roast beef that was advertised online and on their menus. They actually hadn't even ordered it in weeks. We were the only patrons in the restaurant during supper hour. I can see why they stopped ordering roast beef. Still it was a shame they did not remove it from their menus and online if they have stopped serving it.I ended up ordering a beef dip sandwich which made me wonder where they got THAT roast beef from. My companion ordered fish and chips which I was told was mostly breaded material. I DID really enjoy my sandwich and especially the French fries but we really just wanted Prime rib and made a special trip for this. Disappointing.
