The atmosphere is great and they have an amazing selection of craft beers, the best we have seen in Ottawa. We should have also eaten here. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning. Cheers!
I am thrilled that I discovered Brothers Beer Bistro during my time in Ottawa.
Damn best fish and chips after a marathon. Great cook on the fish, not dry. Good fries, not over salted. Great service.
On a cold Sunday afternoon, we stepped in for some warmth and soup. So we didn't sample any of their signature dishes----likely the fish and chips and burgers. They also sell jarred spices, and appetizers e.g artichokes, peppers. The restaurant occupies a large space in the historic Market Square, and in the summer, the window walls open up, giving it a fantastic outdoor/indoor space. We ordered the BLT and home mades soup, requesting they arrive together. We were the only ones in there so one would think we wouldn't be easily forgotten. They forgot the soup. When it arrived, they offered a choice of toast. That never materialized. All would have been OK if the soup was stellar. They should rename it salt with roasted vegetable soup. Hearty but way, way over salted. They never checked on our meal. The BLT? A BLT, decent portion of bacon, no offer of brown bread, otherwise hard to mess up, easier to gush up.We reckon if on a quiet day they can't get small details, they're still learning to step up.
