Olly Fresco's - Ottawa

I occasionally stop by this restaurant, like I did this morning, to grab some takeout breakfast. The food is good and you pay based on the weight of your order. I'm not exactly sure of the price, but if you avoid adding too many hash brown patties like I do, you can get a decent takeout meal for under $6. They also have pre-cut fruit available for breakfast.

We arrived at the restaurant at 2:15 pm only to be told that the buffet had closed at 1:45 pm. They provided the option of sandwiches or salads instead. I opted for the salad, which was priced at 7.5CAD. While it was quite expensive for a salad, it was delicious and the portion size was generous. I plan to return in order to try the buffet before it closes next time.

Olly Fresco's is: - conveniently located for downtown workers - less expensive than other local establishments - extremely varied in lunch options - stocked with select groceries - staffed with efficient and friendly employees - where I purchase lunch M - F - great.

Fresh made-to-order deli sandwiches are very good. The buffet bar is also very fresh and with over 100 choices. We had tacos, fresh fish, salads, onion rings, fries, bbq'd chicken, you name it, they have it. It was al very fresh and very good. Just...More

If you're looking for a quick place to pick something up for lunch, try Olly Fresco's. They have great fast service, lots of different types of healthy salads, fresh made sandwiches, soup, and a hot food buffet. Also lots of desserts that are made fresh every day. Have been going here for years, food is good and prices are great.
