Sushi Japan Buffet - Ottawa

The fact that I spent any of my hard earned money here will haunt me forever. The food was atrocious and the service was deplorable. Please consider any other option before eating here, there are so many better places to eat in the city.

I went with the family for dinner. The place is dark the tables so not comfortable. Food service both were average.

The food was an odd mix, and the Thai dishes were bit in he least bit Thai. The sushi and tempura was fresh though. The main reason that I wouldn't spend $25 per person to eat there again would be the deplorable service!!! Piles of dirty dishes wrre on our table from our orders, and the occasional ones on the end were cleared only after I asked them to. We were served our dessert amidst these dinner dishes. Except for one server, they all seemed annoyed and bothered, and one male server constantly dropped the new orders on the table without saying what they were. Don't waste your money or time!!

We decided to use skip the dishes and tried this “restaurant” for our order. Big mistake. The appetizers (beef dumplings and barbecued shrimp) were just ok shrimp was rubbery and beef dumplings actually had a reasonable taste but were cold. The mango salad consisted of some awful creamy kind of lettuce topped with a few strands of mango pieces. The flavour was indescribable but definitely not fresh tasting nor tasty. The basil beef and basil shrimp dishes consisted of a few pieces of tough spicy meat some rubbery little shrimp with the remainder of each container filled with onion and just a scrap of green and red peppers. Overall I would say this is the most disappointing meal I have experienced in a very long time. Skip the dishes would be wise to delete this restaurant from its list of available places.

Ate here with work for a buffet lunch. Service was prompt, but that is about the only positive point I can offer. Food was of poor quality and preparation rushed and sloppy. Dishes were bulked out with lots of rice and sub standard filler. We found a piece of metal wire in one of the dishes. This was pointed out to the waitress nothing was done about it and not even an apology was offered. There are much better options for fans of sushi and Asian cuisine in the local area. I will not be back.
