Duke Of Cambridge - Oxford

This was our first time at this pub, and we can confidently say we will not be returning. First impressions are important to me, and the service we received at the bar was quite shocking. The bartender who served us was abrupt and unhelpful. Typically, when going to a bar, pub, or restaurant, the staff are friendly, but not here. I don't expect a stylish cocktail bar worker with a high level of expertise to be rude when asked a simple question about mocktails. I suggest they undergo basic customer service training, even just to learn how to offer a smile to their customers.

I absolutely adore this bar. The ambiance is stunning and the cocktails are fantastic. My friends and I have been coming here for years. It's best to come during happy hour or when students are around, so be sure to make a reservation in advance.

This restaurant seems to have changed ownership or undergone a recent renovation, but unfortunately, the changes have not been for the better. The music is unbearably loud, making it hard to communicate with the bartenders who seem overwhelmed. The bartender at the end of the bar fancies himself a DJ, but most of the patrons sit in silence due to the lack of communication. The service is slow, especially considering the lack of customers, and the cocktails are overpriced and served in unsatisfactory glassware. I don't see this current setup lasting long, and I hope they improve in their next iteration. The location has potential for a successful cocktail bar, but they are not quite there yet.

The cocktails were fantastic! the atmosphere of the place was perfect for a Friday evening cocktail. when I was bartender before, I was impressed by the bartenders and their professionalism. everything from cocktail to garnel was made perfection. highly recommended. Also,...loved the cocktails with ice in them!

I love places like this, where the music is so loud you can't have a conversation perfect if you don't actually like the people you are with. Where the drinks are so expensive you can't afford to stay for long. And where the bartenders...are so full of themselves you aren't made to feel welcome. Best thing about the place was leaving absolutely lovely outside!
