Crabs were good, but the crab cakes were filled with shells and un edible after we realized both were filled with shells. Very disappointed considering the price.
Disappointing! Ordered large males about half were and others maybe medium. So many missing claws. Taste was really was off. Not fresh.
My mom got Large crabs today here at the Oxford facility, they were the Worst ever! They were not hot, couldn't even smell the seasoning/Old Bay in the car! Parking lot completely empty 2:30pm pick up. My mom had to hit them with the mallet several times, couldn't get them apart, and were like dried up or left overs from day before or someone who didn't pick their order up? The lady with blonde hair was nice but after you spend $95.00 with high expectations, very dishonest, disappointing, and last time going there. If a rule has changed that person working has to use up hours old seafood, customer should definitely be told or asked if ok, or at least offer money off! Save your time, money, aggravation, DON'T BUY HERE! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! This place WILL SHUT DOWN IF SERVICE OF FOOD DOES NOT CHANGE.
Great Service. Called for Crabs for a party. The person was very helpful with amounts of Crabs. At pick up they were helpful with questions with keeping Crabs fresh and warmup techniques. Very Pleased and would recommend. Will definitely go back again. Thank you Chesapeake Crab Company in Oxford.
I have been patronizing this establishment for about 3 years now and today there was a major issue when it shouldn’t have been. One of the owners Jeff was very rude and disrespectful when handling the order pick up. It was clear he was not attentive to the customers as they arrived. And he asked who was next. I told him I was checking the status of my order and he proceeded to handle 6 customers that arrived after me. Although I knew there would be a wait, his demeanor and disposition was very nasty and disrespectful when I let him know that I actually was before the 3 other customers he rang up before me.To put this in context, I had been there waiting for about 25 mins before anyone asked who was next. Three other customers came and they were served ahead of me. I order whole bushel of XL crabs approximately $600 value and there was no respect for the patronage. I wind up leaving with out the crabs after he presented me with an ultimatum, either shut up and take the crabs or leave. As a high value patron, I felt compelled to verbally express the issue just to let him know that others had been waiting before this group. I too am a business owner and understand that things need to flow properly for a smooth experience.I drove 1 hr from PA to patronize this place as I normally do. And, the customer appreciate, organization and attitude was horrible.Lesson learned here, I won’t do business with any company that does not value my patronage, time or feedback.I too am a small business owner, woman of color and I would never treat any customer this way. Utter disrespect and I’ll be sure to let everyone know that I referred here that this is not a place that values their customers. It’s possibly discriminationA word of business advice to this company would be to get a ticket number system in your establishment and be a bit more organized or stand to lose other patrons. My average order cost is $400 each time. And, this happens biweekly at the very least during the summer. To all the other owners, Jeff is not a very good partner or businessman. Just say the word and he can be bought out today for cash
