Baytown Seafood - Palacios

Sad to say but Bayside (not Baytown) Seafood did not survive the state-mandated shutdown. They have closed permanently and the building is up for sale.

I am from Illinois I'm here for work. I have tried a lot of restaurants and Baytown seafood is BY FAR the best one I've been to yet. Extremely good.. don't listen to these other reviews. This is an easy 5 star restaurant, it's all fresh food, HAND BREADED FRIED PICKLES. The rice is really good and cooked just right. The service is great it's a family vibe as you immediately walk in. Nothing but smiles from the staff and the customers. Good vibes will rub off on you. I don't have much else to say, you absolutely have to go get a bite to eat and see for yourself!!!! The owner is a down to earth great guy his name is Eddie and he's nothing but smiles!

I ate the shrimp and rice. I couldn't hardly find any shrimp in my rice. The rice was a little under cooked. The cheese sticks really had no taste. Kinda like they were just taken out of a frozen box microwave and served. Nice people, decent service, I enjoyed the tv's on the walls.

Very best grilled shrimp I've ever had in my life! I got them with the grilled red snapper, and omg was it good!! Veggies don't seem like a big deal but even they were awesome. My boyfriend got the ribeye, DONT GET IT unless you prefer your steak well done. Thin steaks are hard to cook and still get it done right, I get it, but it was exceptionally thin, and well over med-rare. It DID have awesome flavor though. Everything else was so good that I'm not even taking a star for it. Seriously, the fish and shrimp were amazing. We both ate here, full meals with wine for less than $50. And it was very well worth it. Locals say everything from the water is caught the day you eat it! Very nice people too. Highly recommend!

Had the flounder and it was good, thus the 3 stars. I was asked: Cole slaw or salad? So I got the slaw but it was served prior to the meal in a salad bowl. A little different and it was average slaw. The fish potion was generous and the vegetables with it were Asian style and good. The place isn 't a looker, but I 'd go back if in town.
