Restaurante El Arbolito - Palenque

We were ready for a short bite after a whole day in Chiapas. We accidentally ended up eating in this sweet restaurant, with a pretty bizarre decoration. Your owner, a 78-year-old charming lady, comes from Puebla and dominates the typical dishes of this region. She came by to say hi and we found her to be absolutely creepy. We ordered lamb grill and green mole. Both dishes were really delicious and felt like authentic homemade Pueblan food. Faster and very good value too, as we paid $270 (less than 13€ including drinks and tips). I would definitely recommend this place to eat in Palenque.

Si no quieren meterse adentro de la ciudad y quieren comer relativamente barato, es allí. El restaurante está enfrente de Chedraui, en el segundo piso al aire libre y comparte su estacionamiento con la tienda Ilusión, por eso es mejor dejar su coche en el estacionamiento de Chedraui. La comida es casera de Puebla, el precio es regular y el sabor también. La decoración adentro es muy peculiar, folclórico y está repleto de albures, vale la pena ir a curiosear.
