I hadn't been here for a few months; I won't add anything about what happened last night, I'm a regular customer and I really hope that a historic place in Palermo, engraved in our minds for having simple and good food, kind staff and honest prices, manages to recover as soon as possible. (For the curious: average appetizers, tasteless wine and inedible spaghetti with swordfish and aubergines, pasta with a very sweet sauce that we left there. The kitchen made all one course, the cashier had told us that the kitchen would close at 10.30pm and we said we would be fast. At 10.05pm we had already ordered and after about 10 minutes the dishes all came out together, starters and first courses. Bad, bad, bad, I hope everything goes back to how it always was, if you're on holiday don't risk it, rather go somewhere else, and be wary of 5-star reviews from Germans or Milanese people!

Arrived to an empty restaurant and were told we could only sit outside because inside all tables are reserved. Atmosphere outside was not nice at all. One man, we think the cook, was wearing a dirty pant which didnt properly cover his butt. At this moment we should have reconsidered and leave. We stayed and ordered. Our wish for aperitivo was denied. They said they have none except Cola and other sodas. The neighbouring table surprisingly got some aperitivo (Aperol) served. I assume because they were italians. 1 glas on our table was dirty and was changed. 1 fork was also dirty. First we got whitewine. It had a slight rose colour and tasted flat. We think they gave us a old wine, because it tasted as if it was too long open and started to oxidize. Our ordered starters came. One was definitely cooked in advance and cold, eventough it should have been done freshly in oven so the cheese forms a crust. It was chewy. The other starter should have been (according to the waiter) with artichokes. Instead i got melted cheese in lots of oil and vinegar. Very sour and unpleasant. We sent the dishes back and cancelled the ordered pasta and left. We think we got treated differently because of not being locals. Can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The good reviews are in my opinion doubtful
