My wife and I took a chance and ate here despite some of the poor reviews. We made a reservation in the day time and enjoyed dinner in front of an awesome view. We were waited on by Sophia, who was very accommodating and kind. The food was great I ordered the steak and my wife had the lamb. We also had a caprese salad appetizer that was fresh and tasty. The Hotel Rufolo hosts its restaurant inside, welcoming its customers in a refined retro atmosphere from the 30s, 40s and 50s... vintage furnishings of great value, elegant furnishings in a deco context. you will seem to perceive this sensation of pure relaxation, if you close your eyes you will go back in time and you will be able to imagine seeing the famous people who passed through the Rufolo hotel, the great poets and writers of the 20th century, the American actors of the Dolce vita , some reigning head. To embellish the large, bright rooms, the floor is made of fine Vietri ceramics and the Gothic mullioned windows which give a unique view of the Amalfi gulf. THE CUISINE of the Sigilgaida restaurant best represents traditional Amalfi dishes, with the catch of the day coming directly from the fishermen's boats of Salerno. Well-executed dishes, without too many frills, clean and linear taste. a dinner without defects or flaws, refined by the service of a high-level staff who is never intrusive.
