Actually their pasta serving size was bigger than I expected. This is kind of a fancy restaurant so you know how fancy places always have these small servings of pasta, but here their pasta I would say is good for sharing between 2 people, or good to fill up one hungry person. I wish the sun dried tomato was more pronounced though, as it tasted more like a fresh tomato sauce than a sun dried pesto. Their pizza is good, it's a nicely sized 8 slice pizza, we had the one with walnut cream and speck, and it worked quite well. Service is really really top notch here, the servers are very friendly and very knowledgeable, definitely a place to bring someone for a special occasion. They have a nice veranda area where you can see the hourly Okada fountain show too for an extra special touch.
Great service from the moment we walked in to the moment we were eating. The staff were really poised, I never saw anyone in there slouching! The way they talk, their spiel to their customers, good communication skills. They are trained very well and are very attentive. That service charge was worth it. Shout out to Imee!!! Our date night was great because of your service. : In terms of food, we had Lemon Butter Shrimp Linguine (Can't remember if that's exactly the name , Cavatelli was great. Pizza Contadina tastes good when served hot. House bread tasted like wine. Though it was a good pair with balsamic vinegar! Wine was good. I loved their wine glass, looks so classy. Ambience looks really sophisticated and pristine. Inside Okada Manila, you'll find this gem. Great for date nights! So romantic because you can watch fountain show while dining.
Please read the full review from the link below. Thanks! Excerpt: The Filetto di Manzo alla Rossini was delicious. The dish was made up of Wagyu beef tenderloin with duck liver escalope, spinach, asparagus and truffle sauce. The tenderloin was supple while the duck liver tasted beautifully. Beef and duck liver go really well when prepared properly and with this dish, the combination was nicely complemented by the truffle flavor in the sauce. Definitely the best dish of the night. The Tagliatelle con Polpette di Pollo, Ragu’ di Funghi, Spinaci was described as having homemade fresh tagliatelle with chicken meat balls, mushroom and spinach. The dish sounded delicious but the taste of the chicken meat balls was disappointing. The rest of the ingredients were ok but we were put off by the odd flavor of the meat balls. The taste of the meat balls is hard to describe but they definitely did not go well with the pasta and the other flavors. The Contadina pizza had mozzarella, tomato, shiitake, potato, parma ham and red onion. This was a good pizza with high quality ingredients and the size was large enough for probably 3 persons. The amount of ingredients in the pizza was sufficient for people to be able to taste them all without any overpowering flavor. The crust was toasty on the outside but airy in the middle and was the correct thickness for the amount of toppings. It was a good pizza. Taste 4/5 Service 4/5 Place 5/5 Value 4/5
If you have the penchant for the finer things in life, it is just right to indulge sometimes in a place where you feel like you will get your hard-earned money’s worth. I rarely go to the luxurious restaurants but when I have the chance, I become adventurous and grab it so that I can enjoy and reward myself.
I barely go to Okada since it is bery far and hard to commute. My first impression when I first entered the restaurant was CLASSY! Well it was something I really expected because it’s a restaurant in Okada. Normally I am not a fan of fancy restaurants because based from experience, they fail in terms of food quality and portions. To my surprise, La Piazza did not fail me! These are the food items that I was able to try: 1. Tartare di Tonno P648 2. Risotto ai Funghi e Gamberi P688 3. Cavatelli P648 4. Filetto di Salmone P1,088 5. Pizza Contadina P688 6. Tiramisu P398 None of these dishes failed me! All really exceeded my expectations! Everything was authentic and well cooked! I am actually craving for these right now! I can’t end this review without talkng about their interiors! VERY CLASSY! Every corner was really CLASSY! Their chandeliers from the fine dining area were really STUNNING! Their private rooms and restroom were really nice! My favorite part here will be the WINE CELLAR that holds the expensive wines worth P4M! I really enjoyed and appreciated my dining experience here! It’s a must visit!
