Septime - Paris

We have lived here a very nice evening with a good kitchen, the Michelin star completely justified, in a very nice atmosphere with a friendly and welcoming service. I also considered the price to be quite good price and performance ratio. Besides, you have to leave the kitchen in the village and I don't understand the hype. It is a good restaurant, but it is not the best of Paris, it is also not an absolutely extraordinary experience in Paris and it is certainly not one of the 50 best restaurants in the world. But for this hype, the restaurant can do nothing – and if you have the opportunity, you should definitely go.

One of our best meals in Paris. However, if you're looking for "classic" French onion soup, pate, baked brie, coq au vin, etc., this isn't for you. Each dish was artfully prepared with fresh, local ingredients that are also sustainable. Flavors were bright; wines were fantastic (all natural wines); staff lovely and explained each dish.

Thanks to its status as the hottest/best restaurant in Paris for several years now, Septime is damn near impossible to get into. That means calling for a reservation well in advance of your trip is essential. But once you do get a table, you’ll be blown away by the ingredient-driven cuisine and excellent wine list. The people here are nice too, so feel free to try out a few of those French words you’ve just added to your vocabulary. Actually, don’t.

Après quelque déception en brasserie, et avant Elmer, un ami m'a recommandé le Septime comme il dit, menu imposé et c'est tant mieux, tout est en finesse et très équilibré service sympa sans la lourdeur de l'obséquiosité ou l'essentiel est dans l'assiette et dans le verre, accord mets vin parfait, prix forcément pas pour tous les jours mais très correctes pour la qualité hâte d'y revenir, clientèle un peu bobo parisien, qui font croire que c'est leur cantine, c'est sympa on vient aussi un peu au théâtre pour même prix!!!!!
