Great service, amazing food and mocktails! Cannot wait to go back, love that they are so Veg friendly!
What an incredible looking menu! May I take it home? I said with a sheepish grin. Of course! She replied with a smile. We 'd just sat down for a Thursday night dinner at this softly lit yet lively downtown Paso Robles restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, the lighting instantly put us at ease while the hustle and bustle of the dining room vibrated with life. The acoustics echoed with the hostesses moving chairs to accommodate large parties, and the servers walking out with art on plates and platters of alchemy in a cup . We felt we had already entered into an alternate existence within the first 45 seconds of entering. What is that rose looking cup with a squiggly stem? I asked Richard my dining companion. Michelle, our server leaned in. That 's a... I 'll take one! I interrupted with excitement. As I pointed to the menu, I began to feel the kid inside, coming out. I 'll have one of these, and 2 of those, and Richard let 's split the Sweet Potato Quesadilla! Michelle 's smile began to grow. Food brings out our past, right here in the present. If the server is in tune, they also smile resonating with their own history. A smile says a lot, but in an environment like The Alchemist 's Garden, it says even more. Places like The Alchemist 's Garden don 't come around often, but when they do, you remember them. From the live plants lining the walls, to the busy bar filled with locals and tourists enjoying the bartender 's carefully crafted cocktails, to the waiting line bantering outside this is the place to be. The food and drink belong in the Michelin Guide, and the service comes from the heart. The staff 's casual attire accentuates the restaurant 's personality as to say, Come into our dining room, we 've got some good stuff for you tonight. As we were getting ready to leave, Andrew the owner, came to our table. I 've got something to show you follow me. Through a hallway, and a few turns left, and a few more right, we open the door to Paso Roble 's newest speakeasy lounge Remedy. When you come here next, make sure you book a table. he said with a warm smile. As we walk through this small, intimate lounge, the bartender throws a cloudy, white plume of dry ice into the air. As it floats down towards the elegant carpet, he looks over and smiles. Can 't wait to see you next time, guys. Andrew looks over to Richard and I. They 're some of the best in town. It 's tough to get a table in here, and I want you to experience this. Give me a call, and we 'll set up a reservation for you. When you go to The Alchemist 's Garden, the worst thing you can do is to not get excited about the food, the drinks and the staff. The name itself requires you to participate in order to get the full experience.

Great cocktails and decent food! The fall menu is awesome right now and has more vegetarian options than normal and some prices went down slightly as well. The cocktail of the month is often very good as well. They're always happy to fix any issues! Not a place for kids! Seriously take the night off and enjoy the adult fun.
