I was told by management that the menu cooks are all the same. Just the name is changed. I had given this place a high ranking in the past putting it into my top picks list of Indian Restaurants. I have now removed it from top picks. If you read on you will see why. The three people that served me were not friendly but not unfriendly just solemn. When I was having a conversation with a waitress to let her know that the Thali was listed as coming with a salad but no salad was brought out, she actually turned her back and walked away while I was still talking to her telling her if the “salad” was raw onions I did not want it. 5 minutes later she comes out with a plate of raw onions, small piece of lime and a chili pepper. I told her to take it back as I would not eat the onions and it would just be a waste. As I told her before if the salad was something like carrots, cucumber or tomatoes I would eat it. Again she walked away with the onions but said nothing. About 10 minutes later a different waiter came out with a plate with tomato and cucumber slices. He must have overheard the previous interaction. I had told the manager that I did not want any hot spices. He repeated back to me “no hot spices” so it was clear that he heard me. But as you will see below, my request was completely ignored (just like the first time I ate there. Two of the serving tray dishes were only filled 2 3rds full on this visit. I suspect they are using frozen packaged veggies for part of their items. 2nd visit after the name change to Hare Krishna: Veggie Thali (North Indian 239b Cucumber Tomato 2 small Roti, one cooked nicely and a bit crisp, the other one under cooked and doughy – Basmati Rice, fresh, medium amount – Raita, good, herbs spices but no veggies in it, raised bottom in the container from the top it looks like it is medium sized, but it is a shallow dish making it a small size – Mixed Veg Curry, very good taste but only potatoes, corn, peas carrots, the carrots were cut so identical that I suspect the carrots, corn peas came from packaged frozen not fresh, medium sized dish that only came 2 3 full, I asked for no hot spice but just like last time they made it so spicy I could not fully enjoy it – Shahi Paneer this time instead of the Palak Paneer option, pretty good but once again they ignored my request for no hot spice even after the owner manager had took my order and repeated back to me “no spices”, the medium sized dish was only 2 3rds full Yellow Dal Fry, delicious, large sized but it too was hotly spiced. Kulfi 99b just okay tasting, on the small side Lassi 69b okay, thin, medium size Updated from previous review on 2019 09 28

I was already very full, but the chef came out and chatted with me and insisted that I try his veg manchurian dish - it was the best I had eaten! I was very impressed by my first visit. unfortunately there were complications during later visit. I think the original chef was no longer there, as usual I told them I don't want to be hot. they brought out the thali, and each one was sharp. the dahl was so spicy that I couldn't manage to eat it, so they brought me another. it was almost as sharp as the first. They brought me a third, okay, bad day, but I came back in. I warned them that I didn't want to be sharp and told them what happened last time. but the same was again all spicy. so disappointing, but because the first time was so wonderful, I came back in. again I didn't tell them sharp and that my time was limited because I went into a movie over the street. they brought back so sharp food that I couldn't eat it. So I just got up and flew out. I had no time to wait to cook again. Unfortunately it was about what I thought I would be my favorite place for Indians to be a spicy nightmare. Now I can only recommend it if they wait a dear to spicy or a lot of time to sit around waiting for the recooking. 6 to 1 watch
