No complaints about the food, though I do wish that the menu included more non seafood apps due to several allergies in our party. We were limited to the one or two items that didn't contain it. Those that did eat commented that the crab cakes were just ok, but the shrimp and other items were awesome. Everything was cooked perfectly. Overall the food had no flaws, but I can't say it was all that impressive either. The staff is fantastic and attentive. The bar was also fantastic, taking no time at all to pump out beverages for our large party. The room we were put in for our gathering was very tight, and once the doors closed, it felt very small and almost uncomfortable. We could not get up to talk with the rest of our party, split into two long tables with no room to navigate around. The lighting is also excessively dark, and it makes the room feel like a cave. In fact, the only negative feedback anyone had was about how dark the place was. In a restaurant where your food is top notch, there's no need to hide! We could barely see the menus. We've been here several times, and what stands out is that the food is always cooked perfectly, but the bad lighting is just too much. Turn those lights up, and it would be much more enjoyable. I honestly think this place is overrated, but their pricing falls in line with other high-end steak houses. My husband and I went here for date night on my Birthday Celebration while we were vacationing in Salem for Halloween. The food was wonderful. Atmosphere was wonderful but busy. The only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 was the service was slow and I ran out of my drink quickly with no refills for the entire dining experience until right before we left.
