A Cranwills Drive In - Pekin

I dined here for the first time this evening, and the owner personally came out to thank us for our patronage. It was such a pleasant surprise and incredibly warm! I’m looking forward to returning for another meal!

I visited this restaurant again and, although we didn't stay long, it was a nice experience overall. The new owner came out to chat with everyone, which was a pleasant touch. The food was hot and freshly prepared, just as I remembered. The only suggestion I have for enhancing the atmosphere is to play some rock music—maybe a bit of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons—to really lift the vibe!

The chili dogs here are amazing! However, like many things these days, they're a bit pricey at $3.09 each. I remember thinking they were expensive at $2.50, haha. It’s not that this place charges more than others; it just feels like everything is a bit overpriced these days. Still, it’s a great little business, and I think it’s worth spending money here compared to bigger chains like Wendy’s or Culver’s.
