As a family The Harp has always been a firm favourite so when we found they were reopening we booked a table. On arriving we got shown to our table with no communication on how to order with the new guidelines etc we were left to find a small square of paper on the table with a barcode to scan. This was simple enough we found the menu etc so we ordered drinks, starters and mains( as would normally be done by a staff member). Our drinks came and the lemonade was flat, this was sorted but with poor attitude. As soon as the starters where put down our mains arrived at the same time, I questioned this to be told the kitchen received the order at the same time with no apology. The garlic bread which we had ordered for starter was very pale and looked like it could have done with an extra couple of minutes in the oven. After the response we got to the starters arriving at the wrong time and the lemonade it seemed pointless to point this out along with the rare steak which was more medium to well. We normally love The Harp as the food is great and and were looking forward to seeing the refurbishment but left disappointed. I wouldn't normally leave a review like this but after eating out at several other restaurants in the county this week which were in a league above I felt I had too. I feel this could have mainly been resolved with a simple explanation on arrival about how to order and that we should order each course seperatly.
Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend.
We had Sunday lunch deviled today because of the difficult times was lush thanks all
