Gurnard's Head - Penzance

The decor is lovelyIt is a modern take on how an English pub should be.

This is a really smashing pub but if you want to eat you have to book in advance, especially in the busy season.

In the back of beyond, this is a destination in its own rightGood food and ale, with tables in the garden.

Stayed here for just one night for a friends birthday. The staff are outstanding, so helpful and accommodating. We were made to feel really welcome. The food was also excellent modern European with lots of fresh fish. Rooms also very clean a comfortable.

We stayed for two nights and our rate included breakfast and dinner in the pub. I was celebrating an occasion so I was happy to pay a little more than I normally would as a treat. We had a car so access to this site wasn't an issue for us. We loved the location for the proximity to the coastal path and enjoyed this stretch of the South West Coastal Path. The rooms were cosy and comfortable. The food was delicious, we enjoyed the combinations of flavours and dishes. I would visit again for an occasion.
