We chose to eat here as we were staying at the hotel. This was supposed to be a nice start to the holiday that we were going to spend the next few weeks in Italy. There is nothing to say about the view, it can take most people's breath away. The menu could offer something for most people and the food was nothing to complain about. Surprisingly, we also found very good wine at a very nice price. Zenato which is one of the nearby wineries had several good wines on the menu. What drags the experience down is the service. We suspect that it is because perhaps some of the employees have not worked there for so long? Things seemed somewhat disorganized, we kept getting served wrong drinks and food, and when my loved one found unwanted ingredients in the food, it put a damper on the experience. This can happen, but it should still be possible to avoid this. They reasoned that the vegetables were fresh from the garden, but that is still not good enough. We spoke up in a discreet way to avoid too much fuss, but I guess we felt that there was a bit of a fuss. They tried to make up for it by removing the dish from the bill and she got a free dessert of her choice. Over the course of the evening some of the waiters became a bit too pushy and when we had to settle the bill there was no room for jokes or humour. The restaurant has great potential, but they need to work on the work going on on the floor.

We had dinner in this restaurant and this was a really bad surprise. The view of the restaurant is really wonderful but the quality of the food was an absolutely desaster. It was like in a station restaurant disgusting, oily and bad taste. The service was also a problem, they where incompetent, unfriendly and slowly. Next morning we had breakfast, because we slept in that really nice and charming hotel and the same desaster. The quality from the breakfast buffet was terrible the coffee was poor, the bread inedible, all the rest more than poor. The service desinterested. So it is a nightmare to be in that restaurant but a wonderful place to stay in this charming hotel.

Fortunately you will rarely find such a restaurant in Italy. Beautyful location and disappointing food in the same place. We ordered 4 plates of seafood and only one was acceptable (although it wasn't very good). In my opinion in an italian 4 stars hotel shouldn't exist a restaurant so disappointing. We told the waiter that, and the maitre kindly offered the fried seafood (that was fried with old oil, for me).

Il mio voto sarebbe 4.5, ma preferisco dare 4 in quanto nel complesso è’ stata una buona esperienza. Se volete passare un bellissimo pranzo nel mezzo delle cantine del Garda, siete nel posto giusto. Location bellissima e ben curata, con una splendida mega veranda che da sulla riserva naturale. Se devo trovare delle pecche, il cibo non e’ “entusiasmante”, e il servizio ha peccato in delle cose, non molto professionali. In generale, e’ comunque un posto che consiglio vivamente di visitare se si è’ nei dintorni di sirmione
