Pitaya Pessac

Pitaya is a rough and ready restaurant specialising in Thai-style cuisine. We had a good meal served quickly and not using too much plastic. I'd recommend. We were sitting at the bar overlooking the food prep area, which was always bustling with a pair of woks constantly on the go.

Just wanted to let you know my first ever experience of a 'fast food ' meal in Pitaya thai restaurant in Pessac. Last night 3 of us went to cinema getting out at 20h30 and decided to go to Italian for meal. The place was packed and there was a 20 min wait so we thought we would nip next door and try thai. What a nightmare. We queued for 10 mins, ordered three dishes, the red wine had run out and there was only one choice of beer left. We sat with beer for nearly 40 mins waiting for our 'fast food ' whilst takeaways,two delivery guys orders and orders before us in the queue were finished. not exactly fast food..... When they arrived we were very hungry, one thai sald fresh crunchy and quite good.^one rice dish, warm and just 'ok ' the third was a large bowl of noodles just warm dark brown with bitter soya sauce and swimming in the sauce in the bottom of the dish. On the top were a few prawns and bean sprouts. This final dish was so over soaked in sauce after half way through could not eat anymore......

Super welcome, really delicious dishes. server and waitress very nice. I recommend this place.
