The Stonemasons Inn

We booked last minute as my partner and I were both working in the area. The landlord was very helpful. The pub was fantastic with great food, service, and atmosphere. Special thanks to Martin for the superb breakfast. The room was comfortable, albeit a bit dated and dusty, but that's the charm of a classic pub. Overall, it was a brilliant experience.

I was captivated by the historical charm of this pub. The food was enjoyable, but I suggest that the staff pay more attention to the cleanliness of the toilets as there was a shortage of toilet paper and soap. I would give it a rating of 3.5 if I could.

Ok. Food took ages to arrive, the pub was chilly inside and our food was served on cold plates BUT I would definitely go back. Why? Staff were super polite and friendly, and the nosh was delicious. If they could turn up the thermostat, heat the plates and get a jiggy on with the service it would be a five star review. I’m looking forward to returning. Recommended.

Had a good Sunday lunch here. It was a shame that the only vegetarian option was off but the improvised alternative was fine for us. Good beer too.

I have driven past this pub so many times and went in recently for the first time. I was very happy with the food I had and the service too. I will definitely go again!
