Friendly prompt service, space is clean has a nice atmosphere. Each dish has plenty of ingredients, which are fresh. The broth could be better could be stronger more authentic in flavor, but the noodles are the perfect chewiness. The spicy seafood ramen also was not spicy at all, so ask for SPICE if that’s what you’re hoping for. We also got the calamari, which was some of the best calamari we’ve ever had very fresh.
Hot darn I’m impressed, Akamaru spicy ramen was delish. Subtly spicy, salty, gingery, the char sui (roast pork) was a how you say melt in your mouth level good almost buttery. Interior is no frills and dare I say I rather enjoyed the blues blasting over the speakers, this one’s a sleeper for sure. Look no further for a hefty bowl of Ramen on a cold or sweltering hot Philly day.
We really enjoyed our food. The service was friendly and quick. The appetizers came out hot, fast, and delicious. I got the daily special chicken udon but substituted the udon for ramen. My brother got the spicy mayo ramen and he really liked it. Everyone was pleased with the broth to noodle ratio in their ramen.
Cute casual ramen house with good service. Food came out fast. We got two ramen bowl and gyozo. The pork broth base was incredible and taste. The ramen with beef could have had a bit more beef and vegies. The gyozo were good. A bit on the expensive side for such casual dining, but that seems consistent with ramen houses these days. Will go again.
