Feedback gevenIt is very unfortunate, but every single time that I go to this restaurant there is something wrong. The first couple of times I thought that they were new and would give them more time to adapt but every single time I return, nothing changes. The staff is extremely friendly, and is always smiling nicely to me. They always try to accommodate every single thing that I order but they are not well-trained in making sandwiches. The staff was trained to put sandwiches in the oven which seems to be broken because the temperature that it is set at burns the food at the top, leaves it cold in the middle, and then leaves them smelling like smoke. They Try going around this by putting it in a metal jar but this only increase the taste and smell of smoke. Every single time that I order arrived for a sandwich it arrives completely cracked down the middle with all of the contents leaving. The meatballs are often cold in the middle and come out of the sides of the sandwich because the staff does not close it down all the way and because the bread quality is extremely poor and not baked in site so it 's a bit crusty and cracked. My coworker a veggie sandwich from this place and showed me how the vegetables were completely frozen solid in the middle. The staff unfortunately did not receive training on how to wrap a wrap. They roll it like if it was a taco and then try to tuck in the borders but all that does it break the wrap around the sides--I have worked in a restaurant that makes wraps and rolling the tortilla around food contents creating a flute is not how you make a wrap. Today I got cookies from the cookie bags that I saw at the register and realized that they were completely burned to a crisp on the bottom to the point where I completely wasted my money because after the first bite I got noticed that it was completely black at the bottom of each cookie and were 100% burned to a crisp. I asked them when the cookies were baked and the staff member told me that they were baked THREE days ago! I also asked when the muffins were from since they seemed hard and crushed on top and the staff member told me something along the lines that they did not know when the muffins were from. One thing that is positive about this store is that it is very well priced and the sandwiches I buy are very inexpensive. I have continued returning because I always trust that they are just starting and can get better. Also because they are very conveniently located next to my job. Again, every single thing is directed to the management and the training of staff. The staff is extremely friendly and I commend them for all the hard work. It is just unfortunate to see that What used to be a subway became a cheap knockoff of a subway. Ideas on getting better would be better training on how to actually make the sandwiches and wraps. The staff is amazing and I think that all of these mistakes can be corrected with correct training from management and changes in bread/wrap/cookie/equipment quality. I really do care for this place because it is conveniently located next to my store and would LOVE to see it improve so that I can edit my review and al that everyone I know can have good quality inexpensive and convenient meals around center city and around their work places.
Sad to report that this place didn 't meet my needs this morning. I was excited that a new sandwich shop was opening on N 15th street as that stretch is a bit of a dead zone as far as food choices go. I popped in one morning to try a breakfast sandwich. I opted for a simple sausage egg and cheese (with a white roll which I later discarded since I 'm doing this whole Keto cult thing . The eggs took a long time to cook and by cook I mean the attendant shoved the egg mixture in a black container and put it in the oven for minutes on end because it couldn 't seem to get a good consistency. I guess I was expecting something a bit fresher and less artificial. The worker was super apologetic and kind. The sandwich itself was lacking. The eggs had a weird flavor, almost like burned plastic (maybe too long in the oven? The sausage also had this same flavor. The shredded cheddar cheese was only about a quarter melted. I can 't comment on the bread quality. Looking at the baked goods they seem in limited supply and variety, and I 'm not confident if they 're baked fresh or shipped in. Let 's just say I didn 't feel persuaded to cheat on Keto. The salad bar toppings seem to have a decent selection. Ultimately the good thing about this place is that the staff was attentive and sweet, but the food isn 't enough to compel me to return. Disappointing, and kind of like an off brand mediocre subway experience.
The first time I went to this place was a few months ago when they first opened. Today I gave them a second chance, but nothing has changed. I do want to say that the people that work here have been incredibly nice both times. This place is a mess. They don't have half the ingredients listed on their menu, or all the dressings that are listed. The ingredients they do have look pretty gross in the pans. I asked for romaine lettuce and they barely had enough for my salad (I went in at NOON). The chicken (both times) had a gross oven smell. The prices are really good I got a large salad for $6. They have a few desserts like doughnuts and muffins but they look very unappetizing. But I don't know how this place is even surviving this long. Has very good potential but they need to get it together.
Food is great. Staff is friendly . Place is kept clean
