We stopped in here on a Friday night after ordering online A+ smooth online ordering process. The food was ready quickly, ten minutes before they said it would be. When I walked up to the counter I could hear the searing of food taking place in the back. It took a few minutes for someone to come to the window no big deal. The place is not much to look at, basic, utilitarian walk up window. They have bright pictures of some of the food dishes with prices and bright lights outside while you wait, so standing in the parking lot doesn't feel awkward or nerve wracking.Being a hot July night I would have loved it if there were misters or a fan blowing cool air through the service window, but it didn't seem like they even had AC going inside for the owners so I didn't feel too bad about my <10 minute wait for my food. Plus you can always wait in your car. They do have a few tables outside for those who wish to eat their food there.Drinks available I saw while I was there were canned cokes and a few Asian canned beverages such as Thai tea, and one other drink I did not recognize that came in a red can with Chinese writing on it. They had packaged almond cookies for dessert, 6 for $3.The portions were extra large for the price. Food taste was... serviceable. It filled our bellies up, was fresh and very hot temperature not spice. I had the veggie curry which was filled with lots of fresh veggies broccoli, cabbage, celery, carrots, bean sprouts, onions and some canned bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, baby corn typical of most Chinese places. The sauce wasn't sticky or greasy, which I liked, but it lacked depth of flavor. Primarily I tasted the spiciness of the curry; it could have used a little more salt or soy sauce garlic/ginger, or even some msg anything to punch it up a little. The soy sauce packets provided on the side gave me the little extra salt I needed to make it more palatable, and the flavors of the vegetables really shine through since there wasn't much else to cover the natural taste. As mentioned, the portion size was huge double what I would expect to get for the price of $12.95. I also ordered vegetable soup $4.95 for a small container with tofu and I plan to have that for lunch today. My partner ordered the chicken lo mein I believe it was $14.95 and veggie egg rolls. The bite I had of lo mein was flavorful upon first taste hints of garlic, ginger and soy but upon chewing it seemed less so. The egg rolls were gone before I even had a chance to request a bite so I am assuming they were good.Overall this is a good place to get a lot of food, open late nights is a plus for some diners I'm sure. Personally I'd prefer a smaller portion size and more flavor nuance but if you are just wanting to fill up and/or have leftovers for the next day, Lucky Wok is a good bet.
This is the #1 place I go to when I need that late night meal, and no other place is open. It’s delicious and perfect
Food was good. I ordered shrimp chow mein but got Chicken chow mein. It's only a to go place so, I was disappointed because it was too far to go back.
