I've been coming to Francesco's for 20 years, have eaten well every time and met lots of nice people. All I can say is that everything is “super special” Keep it up Francesco

Francesco offers the loveliest dining experience on the island of Ischia. His specialty bruschetta was delicious, and he even offered us some fresh chili directly from his plant, which was also very tasty. Even though we spoke very little Italian, and Francesco speaks very little English, we still managed to feel Francescos warmth and love of food and hospitality. We tasted his homemade white wine, which was of course also delicious. When we were offered fruit for dessert, we initially said no, but Francesco brought us some of his fresh figs anyway, free of charge. When I tell you, that these figs changed my outlook on life, I am not lying. These figs were so sweet, and so flavorful. I thought I knew what a good fig tasted like, but now I will never eat a non-ischian fig again. I must return. (Important to remember; You’re going to have to trek a mountain to get here. Worth it!! A suspended and magical moment The setting is simply magnificent and picturesque with a view of the sea and Francesco's magnificent garden! What about Francesco, a delightful and generous person who cooks with love. Everything is homemade, the wine comes from the vines in the garden, the herbs, the vegetables, the limoncello, the cured meats and the cheeses are all local products! The meal is prepared by Francesco, so you don't have to choose! The meal is perfect! From the appetizer to the homemade dessert! I just wish there was an extra feature where you could give an extra star to a place that truly stands out! I have eaten all around the world. I travel so much both for holidays and work that when I find a place that just stands out in my experience, it truly gives me pleasure to share. Firstly, we had no intentions or plans for lunch, we came upon this on a walk. The entrance through the owners vines offers a peek at the little terrace and you immediately know this is something different. Francesco's warm welcome was the next part of the experience. He sat down with us, no menu, and just talked about food, his philosophy and his produce... we were hooked. We just asked him to bring us what he thought was good. The food and wine arrived soon after. Now, I like my wine so it was such a pleasure to be treated with homemade wine of this standard. It's not often the homemade wine is very good but both white and red were excellent. The antipasto dish and the pasta we had were so full of flavour. The food was simple but the quality of the produce just shone. It made us truly happy eating this. Now, the food, wine and setting earn 5 stars in my experience but it was the genuine and warm hospitality that set this apart and make me wish I could highlight this place above all others I have visited. The afternoon included singing, meaningful conversation with Francesco, a quick visit to his cellar and random moments where he would disappear to his gardens and emerge back with grapes or tomatos for us to try . Francesco and his lovely wife Francesca are not trying to create a business to make money. A few minutes talking and you can see that this is a philosophy and a way of life for Francesco to offer a little corner or paradise where he gets a chance to invite people from all over the world to come eat, drink, sing, laugh and share experiences. It was truly one of the best dining experiences of my life!! Molto grazie Francesco. I will remember that afternoon for many, many years!
