Al Dente - Piscataway Township

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They cook everything to order which is great because I have a lot of food intolerances. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the food is delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Reservations set and the atmosphere, food and service were all stellar. High Class and delicious.

I had always given 5 stars to this place. However, this visit's experience went totally south. There were two servers with just 5 tables occupied but servers had no attention to details as far as our table was concerned. There was delay in taking order, delay in serving, oil wasn't served with bread, asked for extra cheese and it took them 10 minutes to bring it by which time it was meaningless. Felt as if they were totally not interesred in serving us.

I ordered a plate of pasta Gemelli. Somehow the sauce had too much salt. I told the waiter that I had to scrap off some sauce in order to eat the plate and to tell this to the chef. No a single word of being sorry, not any feedback but a full price check!!! They lost 3 routine customers...

I have been here a few times now and each time I have gone the food and staff have been amazing. One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to!
