Chop Chop Korean Bbq - Pleasant Hill

Okay, first. The food. I'm Korean, but seriously, the food is delicious. This place was earlier another Korean restaurant pre-pandemic, but everything is new / different / changed now and this is another example. Back to dinner... The banana is well made and tasteful and has authentic flavors that really hard to do is good. The Kim Chee Jigae is OUT THIS WORLD!!!!! The flavor, without being salted, is what surprised me. They also had a Korean beer I've never had, so it was pretty cool. I had to order the Kal Bi. That was great too. The manager/owner said that an order 1 and a half person would feed, but we found that it was easy to feed 2 and in our case they brought 4 proper ribs and there were all 4 of us. Granted 2 of my party were small (actually 1 small and my teenage son, who could bring the food away). One of the problems I had was that things I asked didn't show up and I either had to ask for them several times or the wrong appeared. Finally, I asked to cancel some items from our order. If it weren't for that, I would give it a 5-star rating. In the end, it was not a big deal, but I can see that these things are exacerbated during high volumes such as Friday or Saturday nights. I think it's a 4.5-star place. Well done, authentic Korean food is hard to do and good places are a rarity. I would be more than happy to drive an hour to come back with my family or woman on a date night / cruise. Support your local Korean restaurant, give this place a try (only on Friday or Saturday night).

My first experiences were when it was called chop chop. Now it's under new management. I usually come at lunchtime and order my favorite short ribs soup. So delicious and the services are wonderful. I really love the small dishes of vegetables and kimchi best kimchi I ever tasted delicious 100%. I even asked for a refill of Kimchi and fish cake my favorite. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars. I'm back to order short ribs of soup. Thanks again for your excellent service.

Parking is limited. Parks on the Strip Mall over the street. I have a table without a wait. It is the only place I found that Unami Bi Bim Bop offers. Plus extra Unami can be requested. Very delicious. The Strawberry Snowflakes Dessert is generous and delicious. The only drawback was that the waiter doesn't come by very often. Otherwise, I recommend this place for good food.

Lunch was delightful. Friendly server made soju recommendation. Lunch special was fast. Mackerel beef bulgogi. Kimchi pancake, calamari, soft tofu soup were all flavorful

Good food, I like the plate. Did not eat inside, but on pick-up orders the staff is nice. Tofu soup is also good. You get the spice level right, depending on how you order it. Mild is still very tasteful.
